What to include, so the first reply is a quote
A request for custom foam that arrives with the information below gets priced on the first pass. Without it, the first reply is a list of questions, which costs both of us a day.
- The drawer or case. Make and model if it is a known box, internal dimensions if it is not, and the usable depth.
- The tool list. Part numbers where you have them. A photograph of the drawer as it is now is worth more than a list.
- How many. One drawer, one full box, or the same layout repeated across a fleet of trolleys.
- Marking. Whether you need tool identification etched, and to what scheme: shop number, serial, a 2D barcode, or your own convention.
- Any procedure we have to follow. The tool control chapter of your MOE or your customer's manual, if one applies.
- Chemical exposure. Whether the foam will see Skydrol, engine oil or solvents, because that decides the material rather than the price.
Quotes, purchase orders and net terms
Quotes are issued in euro, excluding VAT, and hold for 30 days. We accept purchase orders. Net terms can be arranged for approved organisations after the first order, and for a first order from a new customer the normal position is payment in advance. Ask if that is a problem and we will discuss it rather than lose the enquiry over it.
If you are checking us out as a supplier
Reasonable. Read what we do and do not claim before you spend time on a supplier questionnaire, because the certification section will answer the first three questions on it.
Common questions
Is there a phone number?
Not published yet. Email is answered faster and leaves both sides with a written record of a technical specification, which a phone call does not.
Who reads the enquiries?
The same person who prices the work. There is no ticket queue between you and a quote.
Can you sign an NDA before we send drawings?
Yes. Say so in the enquiry and we will deal with that before you send anything.
